What's new about IPS Style?
IPS Style is the first metal-supported ceramic to contain the patented oxyapatite crystal. These crystals in combination with leucite and fluorapatite crystals and the matching glass phases are responsible for the excellent handling characteristics and optical properties of this low-fusing mixed glass-ceramic. The IPS Style ceramic system is designed for the classical CTE range. It comprises components for the layering and the press techniques, which can be combined as required. IPS Style Ceram and IPS Style Press are not only easy and efficient to use, but also highly esthetic: They are coordinated with the components of the versatile IPS Ivocolor staining and glazing assortment.
IPS Style is fast
The optimized shrinkage of IPS Style allows technicians to achieve the desired results quickly and efficiently. The contours of the restorations are almost impeccable after the first firing cycle. The sculpted shape and the finely created details as well as the morphology of the restoration remain unchanged during the firing process. This reduces the need for multiple firings and therefore saves valuable time.
The IPS Style Ceram layering materials for the traditional multiple layer technique considerably simplify routine procedures. The single layer IPS Style Ceram One further enhances the efficiency of the laboratory. It offers a straightforward method for the fabrication of esthetic fullcontour metal-ceramic restorations. The dentin and incisal materials of IPS Style Ceram One are optimally matched – for true-to-nature shading and translucency.
IPS Style Ceram Powder Opaquer 870 is specially designed for the layering technique – for very short firing cycles. The opaquer fully masks the framework, irrespective of the way in which it is applied: e.g. conventional or spray-on technique. The high content of oxyapatite crystals imparts the opaquer with excellent masking properties in thin layers – for a luminous effect from within the restoration.
IPS Style is easy to use
IPS Style Ceram is used in the same way as conventional metal-ceramics systems. There's only one big difference: IPS Style Ceram exhibits a certain stiffness when it is applied and therefore has excellent modelling properties. The layering materials of IPS Style Ceram remain exactly where they have been placed. IPS Style benefits the working style of both newcomers and experienced users – for outstanding results.
IPS Style is suitable for all types of frameworks, irrespective of the system used to produce them: precious metal or non-precious metal alloys, digital or analogue, casting or milling. On non-precious metal alloys in the indicated CTE range, e.g. Zenotec NP* or Colado CC, IPS Style can even be used without a ceramic bonder – for unlimited functionality in just a few working steps.
The metal-ceramic IPS Style and the all-ceramic IPS e.max system follow a standardized shade scheme. As a result, complex clinical cases can be solved using a variety of materials – for a harmonious overall appearance.
IPS Style is esthetic
All the coloured IPS Style components, ranging from the opaquer to the incisal materials, contain oxyapatite crystals. Regardless of the number of firing cycles needed to complete a restoration, the results show excellent shade stability. Moreover, the high brightness of IPS Style produces natural-looking results in the mouth. The wide range of materials accommodates a myriad of individual requirements.
